Daughters first bird
« on: December 02, 2010, 07:55:34 PM »
My daughter got her first pheasant last weekend.  I couldn't believe it the first time she shot at a bird she folds this nice rooster.  It was great getting her and the dog out together I'm really looking forward to next season.

You must be one proud daddy, I was when my daughter killed her first deer.

I sure am she has gotten her deer the last two years.  I love it when she hunts with me there is nothing more gratifying for a dad than to share that with their kids.  I get way more excited when she gets an animal than when I shoot one.

Yes we hunted the new Ebey Island release sight.  The gun is a youth tri star viper G2 in 20 gauge.  I shot a few pheasants this year with her gun it is a pretty nice little gun.

Ellensburg I got the vest online at www.gundogsupply.com/mendota-dog-field-jacket-camo.html.
It works well for her when it's not super wet it keeps her pretty warm and she still has good mobility.
