South Whidbey Info
« on: December 03, 2010, 03:31:13 PM »

Hi everyone,
This is my 1st year bowhunting in about 20 years. 1st time in WA...  I am looking forward to getting back into it.  I am looking for some info on public land on South Whidbey.  I found a little spot on goHunt that looks pretty promising but it's hard to tell on the goHunt map where the boundaries are...  (You zoom in and the public land shading disappears)  Anyone here familiar with that area that I could PM for a little info?

thanks
-Jon

Down by Langley near Goss lake.  I think it is actually off Goss Lake Rd.  There is atleast a couple hundred acres.  I went down there a couple of times last year.  Just don't shoot any of the hippies, there everywhere.

Not sure on that one.  Putney woods was the area I was thinking of.  There is also some land between Coupeville and Oak Harbor called Kettle's Trails.  It's a couple hundred acres.  Good luck.

you cant miss kettles, as it is right on hwy 20. Theres also a non-profit called green bank farms that will usually give permission to hunt part of their acreage. one thing about the island there is not a lot of public land, but it pays off to knock on doors and try to get permission, especially south of coupeville, where there are so many deer...
