Upright FoodSaver vaccum sealer for $80 down from $199
« on: December 03, 2010, 10:53:26 PM »
Here is a pretty smoking deal on a FoodSaver upright vaccum sealer.  Comes with a couple of cool accessories as well.
Make sure you use the promo code below or else the sale price will not show up in the shopping cart.  They estimated tax at 10% but will use actual state sales tax when they charge your card.  Currently there is free shipping deal too.

Saw this on another site. Just bought one myself.

New upright model, $80 instead of normal $199, + free shipping (they do add a little tax tho...)

Promo code = CABINF60A

Haha....I hope this turns out to be as good a deal as it seems.
I just ordered mine tonight too so I hope it turns out.
This was originally posted on 24HourCampfire and it sounds like they were shipped quickly and everybody was please with what they had received so far.
I just know this was a lot less money than what I have been seeing in any stores or ads.....

I have had one for a couple years. They work well for occasional use.
If you come home from a fishing or hunting trip and want to seal a large amount of meat they don't work well at all. After sealing 5 to 8 packages the sealing unit overheats and you have to let it cool down for 10 minutes. Then you can seal another couple packages before you have to cool it down again. Very frustrating when you have a large amount to process!
Most of my buddies had these and had the same problem.

 :yeah:

The dammed bag would seal but it wouldn't suck the dammed air out...

I've found it does a more complete job sucking all the air out if you use the "gentle" setting. It just goes slower in an attempt not to crush anything.

Well, if it turns out to be a piece of crap I'm only out $87 instead of $200.  I just want it for vacuum packing my smoked cheese and fish.  Other than that it will not get a ton of usage.

Awesome.  We purchased one years ago probably 5 plus years.  Shop at Costco and package seal all our meats, cheeses, lunch meats and other bulk items.  We have never had trouble with ours except the air hose seal.  Simple fix, place finger over air hose seal and all works fine.  We have wanted an updated counter top model for the past couple years but have been holding off.

Thanks for the post :brew: Ordered ours while their still in stock.  $92 and some change delivered.  Shoot, at Costco these are still $189.   Great deal! :rockin:
