I have tried but I am not patient enough! If I was patient enough it is a really deadly way to get them here on the wetside, especially in the late season

Never SEEN a tree stand on the westside. Don't know of anyone that has used one either. Might be fun to ask some of my friends about.

My last elk was a yearling cow out of a treestand on Long Island in 2005. Haven't hunted for them much since but given the right conditions, they are great. The year before, I had a bull at 7 yards but could not get the shot as I just climbed up into a tree and was straddling a branch. He didn't quite get out far enough to see my cow decoy and then a guy walked out on the other side of the field.
