The ever changing plans...
« on: April 14, 2008, 07:08:10 PM »
I can't seem to get it across to my partner how much I love to hunt, or more directly that I don't like to hunt alone...

This guy bailed on me for Turkey this weekend. Same guy that made it real tough to hunt deer last season too.  I was planning to go Thursday after work, but I adjusted my plans to his schedule and we planned to go out Firday.  Obviously this limited us to staying closer to Seattle so we could be back at a reasonably time Sunday and still hunt a bit.

Well he just bailed again...  Now I'm stuck in the lurch, with no body to go with, and plans all in disarray.  Just had to whine a little before I set to figuring out what I'm going to do now.

DAMN.

I hear that,  I told him to call me if he decides he want to go out for gobblers.  He wil not however be anywhere near me this year during deer or elk seasons.

Bone, when you meet my wife after she starts med school there in the Yaki-Vegas, would you kindly inform her I'm a big boy and should be allowed to hunt alone too?

J/K, she's cool with me out alone for small game, but still doesn't want me out alone chasin' four leggers.  I think I can handle it, I just like the company when I can get.

Not sure what the plan is now... I've put a lot of miles in the last 2 weekends heading to that side of the hills for job interviews, not sure I can pull off another solo trip gas bill!

you would be better off in this case to hunt by yourself. If he is your partner he should not bail on you. That is a huge deal.

Par for the course I'm afraid.  Hence he will no longer be getting any invites from me.

Her school is coming together nicely.  My Mom lives about 3 blocks away from it.   We'll have you guys out for some moose burgers.  If she comes through the hospitals at all, I'm sure I'll see her.

Bone, would love to break bread with you and yours.  I'm sure she'll be in the hospital once or twice.  ;)  We'll be packing boxes in the next couple of weeks, our lease is up on May 25th and classes start Aug. 4th.  So time time between then we'll be over, ifn' I can find the gainful employment.

Red Dawg, I'm a mechanical engineer currently and would like to stay in the feild, but I have roughly 5 years past experience as an auto technician.  I'm really more concerned with finding something that we allow me to support us and pay all those bills we've accumulated over the years going to school.  I don't want t osound greedy, but so far the pay over there is not what it is over here.  I would appreciate any help if you know anything.  :)

check with con agra, they are hiring all over the place. Prosser plant would be a good place for you. Food prossecing plants will be your best bet and i know they pay well.

Ok, will do and thanks.  I was just down in Pasco last weekend interviewing.  Not sure that commute would be fun, but the opportunities are greater.  I'll look into the Prosser Con Agra tomorrow.

ya, tri-cities is the best place for a job like that but prosser is totally being gutted. I am not sure if they are looking but it is worth a shot. Look into simplot also they have a few plants all around and Ochoa may be looking, I know they have a plant in grandview that needs a sharp guy to get them straited out.

I heard on ArcheryTalk that the Sportsmans Warehouse is interviewing for the Tri-Cities Archery Shop job.  That would be fun, but wouldn't pay many bills each month!
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!
