I would wait and see how this winter ends up affecting the mule deer in that area. I think that will matter more than how many bucks were taken this year. Although it sure wouldn't hurt to hear about any successful hunting trips to the Pasayten. I got a decent 4 point in there in 2005. I've been wanting to go back but haven't had the extra money to spend on the drop camp.

Here is some pics of this years trip. We already booked to go again in 2011 same place. Myself my dad and 509er and wastickslinger.  It was a great hunt we saw 8 legel bucks and a handfull of does.  If anyone is thinking of booking a trip you better hurry cause the outfitters are filling up fast this year, I have already been called twice and asked ?, Brian Valerman is using me as his reference, which is cool but some of these guys like to talk!

I cant wait.  The only thing that bothers me about the whole trip is the double sleeping bag that stickslinger bought.   :dunno:

I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

What is the cost of the drop camps. And do you see much in the way of legal bucks and or bears?? I have a couple co-workers that went on a hunt up there like this and didnt get anything. I dont think that they are hard core hunters though.

Outfitters aren't required but some of these guys are going in 25 miles.  It would be tough by foot or you need to be set up to do a trip like that with horses, etc.

Varelman's a good guy.  I met him last year on his Teanaway bull hunt.  His daughter and my wife are friends.
