I opened the thread thinking it was Braised ribs!
Uggh. Rib injuries suck. Just don't laugh, sneeze, cough, or roll over in bed and you will be fine in about 4 weeks.

You could have your wife pack the traps for you :chuckle:

Get some DMSO from Dr. Briskey down the hill from you, ( he used to be my vet ) apply it on your sore rib area. You stink to beat hell, but the stuff works great along with some Tiger balm. Been there, done that..
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I fell last week. It was raining and warm and I had to bring the trash out to the curb so in bare feet I started running the trash out. I hit ice and down I went. Scraped my hand and feet all up and tweaked my neck. My wife thought that was really funny.  >:(

You must have done some damage to be out for a month though!?!?!!? Don't worry your present will make you feel better.

Man, that is tough luck. Here I was waiting for a high energy 'Tale of the Trapper' type story of adventure while out on the trap line, and it is "taking the garbage to the curb". Couldn't you at least make up something? Hope you mend soon.

Ouch.  I've had bruised ribs and broken ribs and ironically, I think I'd rather have broken ribs.

I bruised my ribs a couple months back playing flag football. They really hurt for a good month. The one thing that helped cut the pain pretty good was the Naproxen (Aleve I think it is) prescription my doc gave me. Was 500mg twice daily. I still feel a twinge every once in a while if I move wrong, but I'm about 99% now. When I saw the doctor (was actually there to follow-up for my concussion I got during the same football game) he indicated he didn't think they were broken, but really didn't matter because the recovery time and pain level would be the same regardless. This was just before deer and elk season too...maybe it's good I didn't get anything!
