Alwines Late Whitetail hunts
« on: December 20, 2010, 10:47:37 AM »
Yep, referring to myself in 3rd person now! ;)

After posting lots of trail cam pictures earlier this year I thought I should post some pictures of the success we had in Washington this year.

I shot my buck Dec 3rd. The buck I had been after "longhorn" had disappeared so when this buck came in i couldn’t resist.

The next day, Dec 4th I was filming Jason in one of my stand when "longhorn" made his re appearance and Jason laid the smackdown!

Dec 6th, My cousin and cameraman Nik finely got a chance to hunt a new blind we had setup this year. It was the first day hunting it and 15 minutes before dark this old 4X5 came in. Nik made a great shot and harvested his first deer with a bow.

Dec 11th Shannon (my wife) and I went down to meet up with my buddy Garry at Wild country Guide Service. He had a stand hung for Shannon and that afternoon she killed this non-tyipcal buck that was aged at 8 1/2 years old.

Dec 10th a new buck showed up on one of my trail cameras and we immediately started hunting it.
On Dec 14th Bobby was in the stand while I was filming behind him. The buck came in, bobby made a great shot and harvested his biggest buck to date 24" inside spread.

Holy Crap man, awesome season.

Public land or private land? Doesn't matter to me, just curious.

Again, congrats on a great season to you and your hunting buddies.

Those are some studs.  Congrats to all the hunters.  Your buck is about as symetrical as they get.

Is it just the camera angle or does the buck in the second picture look like it's right brow tine popped out of his skull between his eyes?

You guys (and gal!) did a bang up job on the bucks this year!  It might be a stretch but you could call it "Alwine Green Outdoors" and apply for Energy Star certification.  We all know Freezers operate most efficiently when they are full  ;) and everyone else is claiming to be "green", right?!
