Took a drive in the woods this morning and saw this skunk cabbage in the snow. I thought it must be a little unusual to see it blooming with snow on the ground and had to get a couple pictures.

i believe that billy kidd posted a nice story on skunk cabbage regarding the botany of it and how it creates warmth. it is very interesting. its always good to know as much as you can about the natural world around us.
