Badlands pack weight?
« on: December 31, 2010, 02:57:11 PM »
I have been looking at several options for an expedition type backpack. One possibility is the BL 4500. But in researching I am coming across different advertised weights. Tags on the products that conflict with data from websites, advertised weights for one pack that are 2 lbs different from the same pack from a different dealer. Am I missing something? Did they change something in the latest models? Just wondering if anyone has any info. Thanks

Not sure about the weight, but have had a Badlands pack for 8 years. I believe it is one of the best packs on the market. If you have any problems with any of there products they will repair it or replace it with out question. I have been able to pack my gear along with a elk hindquater out of the woods and the pack feels the same other then weight. great pack..

Coop- Thanks for the info. I agree thier customer service is great! My question stems from the advertised weight saying 8lbs 14 0z, but cabelas is listing 6lbs 9 oz. Both on the web and tags instore. As well as other sites on Ebay giving conflicting numbers. Just digging a bit. Maybe I should just go in with a scale and weigh one Huh.  :chuckle:

The scale says 9 pounds for my 4500 (08 model).  I think the lighter weight you are seeing is with the fanny pack removed.
