wanted "dummy" rounds for hunter ed classes
« on: January 08, 2011, 09:12:36 PM »
I am a hunter ed intrustructor and teach classes in Yelm.  We have a couple classes scheduled for this spring (March and May).  We've already have about 25 students signed up for each class but need some help getting some dummy ammo the students use to practice handling firearms before we head to the live fire at the range.  The WDFW supplies us with .223 rifles and 20 ga shotguns for the class but the dummy rounds they provide don't cycle well through the guns.  What I am looking for is about a dozen .223 and 20 gauge blanks....no live primer or powder (or shot in the case of the shotgun).....i don't reload either of those and am looking for some help obtaining some...also about 70% of our students are under the age of 14 so they can't handle the full size firearms at the range for the live fire portion so we are looking at purchasing a youth model .243 so if anyone has some blanks for that it would sure be appreciated.   I can pick them up if they are local and would be willing to compensate you for the expense.  thanks for all the support

I could make up some 243 for ya. I'll be attending a pistol shoot at Paul Bunyan on the 22nd and could leave them there for you. How many would you like?

I have some military grade .223 blank ammo you can have. Not quite sure if it's what you're looking for, but if you want it it's yours.

Brew

Not a problem was great to meet you. And glad I could help you out. Sorry things got a lil crazy in there. But Sam always makes things interesting for me. Thank you also for the comments on the mounts.
