Remington Model 11 Stock
« on: January 20, 2011, 04:00:11 PM »
Anybody know where to get a good remington model 11 stock.  The upper tang is 3 5/8" and lower tang is 3" and is curved.  I've seen some on boyd's but would love a black synthetic.

The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

when was the model 11 discontinued?  how similar are the tangs on the Browning A5?  same action, maybe same stock?   :dunno:

There is a good history of the Model 11 on this site.  Really interesting story about patent problems.  Guess the same shotgun was made by Savage as well as Browning who was the original designer....Even Winchester had their hand in it.

Thanks for the replies guys.  I received this gun in good working order except for a crack in the buttstock.  I absolutely love this gun.  It's so old and broken in the trigger is super smooth (albeit super easy to double tap).  It was my wife's grandfathers.  Serial no. in the 90,000's.  Would really love to harvest a turkey with this gun but it is the riot model and does not have a choke.  I love the history of this gun as well.

I have found parts on sarcoinc.com as well and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?
