Oak creek
« on: January 30, 2011, 08:34:03 PM »
Went to oak creek today with my son to look at the elk. talking to the tour guide on the truck .told me that the state  and rocky mountian elk foundation and other groups bought 30.000 acres to add to the resurve. and therocky mountian elk foundation bought 1500 acres on the other side of the highway in the Cowiche unit to add to the reserve.   after we left we went to watt canyon seen one elk.6x7 pushing the 350 mark. no other elk to be seen. long day and lots of driving . from tacoma

Nice pics thanks for sharing. The boy is well on his way to photography. I hunt the Watt/Murray and we didn`t see any horns this hunting season. Did see some nice bulls early last month at feeding time at the Robinson gate. Cousin lives outside the gate and we periodicly get to take the feed ride in there to help out
