New to Archery

Hey Guys been hunting for about 10 years now, and last year i got to go to Oklahoma for modern and had a blast. but this year I'm staying in Washington and Ive done modern and muzzleloader before. But those seasons are just getting worse and worse when it comes to time and areas to hunt. Archery seems to be the best step. I'm barrowing a Martin from a friend of my to get some pratice in and possibly by a brand new Limsaver off of him. any pointers for the Newbies?

shoot, shoot, and shoot. every angle height direction, whatever. get comfortable with what you have. and have fun.

shoot everyday, get the best arrows, and have a shop tune them for you. don't screw on broadheads and expect them to fly straight. also have a shop tune your bow.

Make sure what ever bow you are shooting fits you. If it does not you can pick up some very bad habbits. But like other have said just shoot a ton. The more the shoot the better you will shoot in the field.

what?  Do you mean using decoys during archery season?   I think that's a whole separate topic.

I have posted it in bow hunting part as well, but like i said this is all new to me so Im kinda full of questions. 70% of what i know about hunting is from experiance,  0 of which is bow hunting, lol. the only person i hunt with regularly is my wife and im teaching her. anything helps guys.
