Search back in the bear forums...alot has been written up on calling bears, (how to, where to, how long) etc. Pretty much anything you want to know is in there. Good luck and have a 'blast'. ;)

Up in the high country in late august and september. Glassing and then stalking or just sit in the berries and eat them till a bear comes along, don't like sharing my berries. LOL :chuckle: :chuckle:
Hunting and Fishing is not what I do. But who I am...

Thanks for all the tips.   This is my first bear hunt so believe me I appreciate the tips.   I like the idea of calling and spot and stalk.   What do you think is a good time / place to call for a bear.   I've talked to people that use rabbit in distress calls do they work well or what calls do you prefer.

my most productive method has to be glassing two -three year old clearcuts or high meadows.
but the way i love to do it most of all is to stillhunt. i also enjoy still hunting elk the most. like i said not my most effective but my fave
