Jason, according to the RipCord web site it does have an internal brake system to prevent it from coming back up. Might be a new thing to them?

Has anyone out there tried or used the Rip Cord? The QAD has metal internal parts while the Rip Cord has plastic, when you flip up the lever on the QAD it stay in the upright position unless you release at full draw, if you come to full draw and let down the lever still stays in the upright position, the Rip Cord falls weather you release or not, and the QAD rest has a brake on it to keep the arrow rest from flipping back up after your shot, when the Rip Cord has a potential to bounce back up after you realease and hit your arrow.

Jason you are wrong about the rip cord. If you lift it by hand it stays up, to release it pull on the string.
