I believe sheds are ok, just don't take any skulls.

The problem with finding any antler's on JBH is that you must stay on primarily paved roads only, they don't allow you to walk the habitat area's, it's a high powered optic type place.

I think a big Mulie would be my first choice but I think a big Blacktail would be harder to get. I think there are probably more of them dieing of old age then any other species.

I love mule deer, always have, and I love the country that mule deer live in. With that being said I think trophy blacktails are the toughest deer to take.

Because the Columbia Whitetail protected does that mean you can't legaly keep any sheds you find from them?

Didn't Oregon open up a special permit season on Columbian Whitetails a couple of years ago.....or maybe it was just last season?  I remember reading something about a season on them.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I hunted it all I can say is bring a boat. The deer and elk run around in two feet of water. The elk's hooves are so wet that they flake apart. We floated our cow 1 mile back to the truck. the columbia river was over the levee. I also snuck up on one of the whitetails got to within 8 yards very cool stuff.

Saw a couple really nice Columbia Whitetails over the weekend. Got a few pics that I will have to get from my dad (used his camera), and then I will post them.

Monster, heavy horned Mountain Muley would be my choice, without question.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
