Blanch them and wrap five together in Prosciutto with a little olive oil and sea salt and pop them on the BBQ.

Asperagus is especially good on the BBQ generally its the best way, always use olive oil since its the light and healthy . Its helps if ya put in a spray bottle and coat the veggie's, it give's it an even coat. If your using woods for flavor as in maple, hickory, pecan, grape or whatever get ready for the explosion of flavor. If ya want to enhance the flavor for the taste palete the sprinkle with some garlic pepper, or roasted garlic with red pepper, or even lemon pepper and cajun mix. For a killer taste try Northwest Salmon Candy on it, the kids will even devour it, trust me when I say this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cut them up into 1 1/2" chunks.  In a pan I get some olive oil hot and pour in some minced garlic (I use the stuff you can buy in the jars at the store).  Let that get good and hot then put in the asparagus.  Let that cook until your about 5 minutes from your desired tenderness (some people like their asparagus crunchier than others) then cover it with parmesan cheese and cover the pan.  Let the parmesan cheese melt and then serve!!

1/4 of an inch of water in a frying pan high heat for  a couple of minutes and then on to a plate at some butter and salt.  use the same pan for your steak minus the water. one plate and one pan to clean when your done.

The only thing I liked about asparagus was pheasant hunting in the asparagus fields with my springer spaniel when I was a kid, we grew up on hundreds of acres of the crap and now I can barely stand it. My dad pickles it by the ton in a plant in Yakima Valley and I use the brine to soak tough cuts of meat in before cooking it to tenderize it.

A quick, hot braise on the BBQ grill. Before setting it on add butter, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Then, serve it with crumbled up pieces of bacon (that you've pre-fried) and hard-boiled eggs.
