Well, your never gonna believe me but the coast of North Carolina is amazing for numbers and size. They mostly dog hunt out there but they also make fun of people for shooting 300 pound blackies! :yike:

Its VERY common to kill 500 lb plus bears and its gotta get over I think 850 for ya to wanna get it to a scale to check it against the state record. :drool:

While they do grow very fat in NC, the skull size doesn't compare to most other places that hold "big" bears.  They just spend a lot more time eating a LOT more food haha...and not hibernating helps too...

ive heard vancouver island and saskatewan but i dont know
