Congrats. Never shot one. I've heard some good things about them. Hope your not disappointed. Did you get a good deal on it?

you should be happy with the rifle.  I have had several cva's and they are a very dependable rifle.

I hope you like it.  CarpsniperG2 and I have had ours for awhile and really like them.  The only drawback that I have noted is the factory fiberoptic open sights have no positive adjustment; it's kind of guesswork.  I would like to find a quality open sight for my gun.  Carp is trying to talk me into the Ghostring peepsight but I can get on target faster with the standard open sights.

:yeah: other then with the sights. You say you can get on target faster. But that's not what yelp has told me :P Or your brother :P

They are a great gun! Have always heard bad things about them, but I have never had one bad thing to say about the gun myself. The sights, I always switch on my smoke poles anyways. Most of the time people that talk trash about them have never even shot them ;) If a guns crap I am willing to say its crap. :chuckle: I am not a bias follower and will always be honest about a gun. Even if I own 10 of them.

I was all excited about the ghost ring and I hated it.  I shot 4 shots with it on and put my original sights back on.  They are definetly not for everyone.

There is no way you can tell if you like something with only 4 shots. Sounds to me you didn't even give it a fair chance.
