In WA is there a limit to how many rounds can be in a rifle?

How many?  All that will fit.

Although there is no round count, they do look at your type of round.
I have had chats with LEO's that commented you can't use full metal jacket bullets, ie: SKS/AK to hunt with.
I can't find anything about that, but it is on their minds.

Last I looked WA required 'Soft Point-Designed to Expand Point" bullets

When I first thought about trying to hunt in the mid 90's the rules said only bullets with a tip designed to expand/mushroom...

Try being a better shooter instead, it's reckless to just open fire with a mag full of ammo and chase coyotes with it, not to mention irresponsible. Maybe a nice single shot rifle would get you into the right state of mind for real hunting instead of the Rambo'ish attitude

Now, I can tell ya for sure those things can and have happened. Heck once I shot a bird in flight about 100 yards up with my 25-06 and I had two witnesses, no one else will believe it, but it's actually very true. Another time I shot a duck in mid-flight over a pond about 5 feet off the water with a 22 lever gun.

There you have it folks, get a single shot rifle and do some "real hunting"...anything more is just all of the above.

The thing that it could be useful for is if you do pest control for a farmer and he wants the pack gone from his land, so there is one use, and there is a difference between pest control, and hunting morally and in action, but by law the line is blurred so that's where I wanted to know. And by the way if I go deer hunting I will never have more then 5 rounds in the rifle anyway... if you cant hit it on the 2nd or 3rd shot you shouldn't be hunting anyway...

but what if the deeris 7 or 800 yards out and running i might need more then 3 rounds

If you can't get an ethical shot off you shouldn't take the shot.  That's my view on it.
