huntnfmly that is sound advice.  I lost mine when we moved out to south Dakota last year, had a heck of a time finding a new one.  I am going to be adding a storage deck to the front of it so this is going to be a big project.  I am re outfitting our hole camp so this is our big expense for the year, I want to do it right the first time so I really appreciate the input.

I sometimes (when I remember) cover the mattress pads w/ cheap fitted sheets----helps keep them kinda clean.

Anything electric, ya need extra fuses or relays for your junction box. Also consider installing a water filtering system W/removable filters. Ya never can trust the local water and travelers sickness ruines the whole trip. If your going for a good couple weeks, you can get a chest freezer installed too. They require more 110vt energy usage but you can pack more meats and stuff, so you don't have to restock on the local economy. Be carefull to check the operation of the freezer several times a day, just to make sure it isn't over loading your junction box. Basically anything electrical that you add on, be sure your matching up your system load limits with the operational demand those gadgets will place on your camper. Any RV mech or electrician can help you with that. Good luck and have fun!

Ya that, or a 12 x 12 pop up with bug netting, we use the 12x12 version of this below for our cooking tent.
