bow hunt the little naches

I need help in finding good spot in little naches unit to start souting for elk. Don't need honey holes, but would like some good info on Roads trail of this unit.

Id wait till the rule books to come out first to see wtf the game dept does first. Seems like they can nvr make up their mind. But I was up in the ravens roust area though my entire hunt wth along everyone else. Not sure bout other roads.

Well.... I neeeeeed some help finding out where all the elk are up in the Northeast. Specifically the big bulls.  Not any honeyholes, just tell me where they are at. 
Elk are all over the unit. Sounds like you're talking about spikes or cows, so you'll run into elk just about everywhere you go. Head up any forest service road off of 410.  Put some miles on your truck and your boots.

Ok I see that my post was a little confusing. The first part I was being a smartass about asking about info on elk in the Northeast part of the STATE. Then I went into actually giving the guy a little info on the naches unit.

HA HA HA. So you were making fun of the people who ask about elk in the NE part of the state (me). I get it thats cool.

Not be belittle your request or anything, but l have found that when I just ask for a direction to start looking or where to go for elk/deer/etc without appearing to do any work on my own first,  I didn't get much of a response. 

When I was able to speak about where I had already spent time looking and spending some foot leather on my own and where else I was possibly thinking about looking then I got a little more response and some private messages from people with ideas of how to tweek my scouting and help me make some solid plans for the year.  Maybe enven a honey hold or two!   
 
There is still a lot of time between now and the beginning of any season this fall.   Get some maps, look on Go Hunt, use google maps, search a bunch of threads on here and any other sites you might belong to, take a little road trip to drive/look around, spend some time in the woods hiking, etc.  If you have a camera, take some pics of the areas you were scouting, etc and then come back and post up some of your findings/work/pics and you will get a little better response.

I know this may sound bad and many may not want to think we are all that greedy of our "public" hunting areas, but imagine doing the work I mentioned above for many years in a row just to get successful and then someone comes on and says "hey, I don't want to know honey holes but where are the elk that you have found that I can kill".  

Look at it as an opportunity to get out in the woods and have a great time and get to know the area you would like to hunt.  I have found over the past several years that the best part of my hunting season have become the "scouting" season where I can get out and enjoy the outdoors.  While I don't hunt that area, this would be my process if I were to hunt it for the first time.

I know where the branch antlered bulls are up there, but waiting to get a permit.
When I was hunting/scouting Saint Helens years back I met a guy who did his scouting via chartering a helicopter and flying over the area. He did get a nice bull on opening day. He was part of a group and they split the cost of the helicopter.
Those 2 man copters are pretty portable. From time to time I would see one on a truck bed.

Not really making fun, just making a point. I would love to ask about the elk up in the Northeast part also, but I think that anyone that knows where they are up there, would be an absolute fool to tell anything on a website! I really wish it wasn't so far from home ( about 7-8 hours), really makes scouting pretty difficult and expensive!
