Yelp is correct.

How long will a hen sit on her eggs before they hatch.
If it flies it dies.

More or less about 26 days. But that doesn't mean she set's them all the time. She will leave the nest to feed during the day.

For short bursts a turkey can max out at 18 mph!

Two Questions:  How many eggs does a hen turkey lay in a day and what is the average clutch size?

Yelp I am going out on limb. A hen can lay up to 70 to 80 a year. And the 2ed answer is average 12 but the can have up to 16

Slayer, Did the limb break or did you jump roost??   :chuckle:

One egg is laid daily until a clutch averaging 9 to 11 eggs is completed.   :hello:

My question is does this vary by subspecies?

One egg daily. 10 to 12 eggs in a clutch.
If it flies it dies.

In a chicken ranch!  I should have clarified and said during the nesting period.  That's a lot of omelets!   :)

Maybe those Utah longbeards I hear they got lots of poults!  LOL
