9.5x57mm Mannlicher-Schoenauer question?

Any of you reloaders familiar with the 9.5 x57 mm / .375 nitro express RNE?  I recently acquired a Model 1910 and would like to start loading.  I know I can reform 30.06 brass but would like to find some original brass to start with.  Anybody have any background here?

I just purchased some 8x57 brass. Haven't seen any 9.5. Wouldn't that be easier than going from 30-06?

PS I am new to reloading ----so I really don't know what I am talking about. But it sounds like you could just neck the 8x57 up to 9.5

Check and make sure the shoulder and everything is the same.  If so, you can neck up.  Also, if they are not exact you can neck up and fireform them.  Just do a minimum load for fireforming.  Have you checked your reloading manual to see what it says on these casings?  Usually it'll tell you if you can neck up/down, etc.

the 9.5 x57 mm can be made from 8x57 or from 30-06...

for using 8x57, neck up to .40-.41 caliber then carefully neck the shoulder down in stages until the bolt JUST BARELY CLOSES with some effort required, then load an 80%+ load and fireform.

for using 30-06, trim to a bit long, neck down in small increments as above, then trim to max length, load and fireform. then resize and trim to Min length.

Thanks you guys for the info.  Foresure going to pick some factory brass first work a load up and then move on if need be.    I am excited to get this gun going.  It is in beautiful shape and should be a blast to shoot a small piece of history.

Here are a couple of pics for the rifle.  I was given this rifle along with a Ruger 44 mag 3 screw, flat top.  A good friend was left them by his Grandfather and he, not being a "Gun Guy" gave them to me.  Took my breath away when he opened his trunk and said " You Can't say No"  Was proud & honored to be given these family guns.

Just took a quick look in the Midway catalog.  Bertram makes brass but spendy!  $96.99 for 20.  I tnink I'd try making my own, or peruse the gun shows.

Sweet. Nice looking rifle. That is a score for sure. Better keep that friend. Or send him my way if he has any more guns laying around.
