Well I hope they are more vocal this weekend. I was up near Spokane a couple of weeks ago and Saturday morning I heard them then they shut up. The following day they were all fired up around 9:00 and I got a jake. I am going back and try to get one of them toms.

I had a friend  This weekend get on some birds and he said they were talking for awhile then he saw some guys. When they guys started calling he watched the turkeys lay low and shut up.
After they men left about 20 minutes later they started talking again.

I ran into the same thing. I had one Tom Come close then he shut up and never came into sight. They were a lot more vocal on the cool cloudy days than the warmer sunny days. This was my last weekend to hunt so maybe next year....
