Looking for an elk calling class / seminar..Help

Me and my hunting partner have been calling for the last 4-5 years with decent success.  We have been self taught and think we could improve our calling by taking a class.  Does anyone know where I can find one?  Do they even offer them?

I will be performing a seminar at Rainier Archery in Graham WA on August 13th.  Do you use diaphragm calls, open reed calls, bite calls, etc?  My seminar covers a totally different way of calling in bulls.  A way that they can never be call shy too.  I will also cover some techniques on how to get the most out of your diaphragm call or whatever system you use.  In the mean time, one of the best things you can do is get "Sounds by the Elk" from Elknut.  It is a compilation of elk sounds that you can practice to and listen to as you call to match the frequencies.  Feel free to pm me if you would like some further assistance and contact info.

Thanks everyone for the information. 

Sniper10  We use all of the above.  Our most popular call and the one we have had the best luck with is the Mac Daddy elk bugle.  We have also had decent success with the primos terminator.  I like using reeds for cow / calf chirps.  We have a huge array of calls though....Our biggest problem is knowing when to be aggressive and when to be passive.   I have called large bulls to within 30 yards, but cannot get them to step out of the heavy brush.  I also don't think we set up appropriately.  Should we call up hill or down hill?  How far out in front should we put the shooter?  ect...

What is the cost of your class in August?  How do I sign up?  I am really interested in getting better and think a class is another great tool.

I will be checking out Elknut.com right now to see how I get "Sounds by the elk".

What you have to remember is that the bull will always stop as soon as he can see the calling location.  So you must set up accordingly to shoot the bull before he gets to the hang up spot.  This can be done by calling and moving, or terrain use.  If you are using a caller / shooter team, terrain will dictate how far apart to be.  If you understand that the bull will always stop when he can see the calling location, the shooter must set up on the elk side of the hang up spot and shoot him before he gets there.  Once a bull is in a hang up spot, suspicion builds quickly, especially if he does not see the other elk.  Remember, elk don't hide from eachother!!!!!  As far as being aggressive or passive, it is usually best to call to the instincts of the elk instead of their present attitude.  That means you may want to emulate a breeding scene instead of just a lone cow, or a challenging bull.  All mammals are drawn to the sounds of their own species breeding.  So, estrus whines, estrus screams, tending bugles, and glunking create the breeding scene that elk cannot resist!!!   Hope to see everyone at the seminar!!!!

If you knew who stokely was, you would definately find the humor in my comment KILLBILLY....sorry if that was a bit obscure.     Truthfully, Joel Turner is very good at what he does and I have every intention of attending his seminar.
