Couple good days on the Cow
« on: April 03, 2011, 03:39:04 PM »
Fished the Cowlitz last Sunday and Monday, and then again today. Last sunday we ended up with two Steelhead and a Springer, Monday we got blanked, and today we ended up with another nice Springer. Hopefully it continues to pick up.

No more fish for us on sunday. Lots of water down there. Last sunday and monday were really good. We had 4 fish in the boat by 11am. I see the river is up over 13,000 cf now. Hope it comes in by this Sunday. I am going to try for some springers, just been trying for stealies lately. Time to cure up some Herring  :dunno: :fishin: :fishin: :fishin: :fishin:

Mayfield is looking ugly. So I wouldn't count on any visibility for awhile.

I dont mind that high water ... it makes camping on divers pretty productive and easier to know where to put them

Sweet! My buddy fished it Saturday and 4 guys limited. No springers though....

The viz was actually alot better than i expected... I didnt really check it out too much but it didnt look much worse than last week even with all the water... im guessing it wasnt more than 18-24 inches though. We went 1 for 3 on steelhead with a nice hen. Spent alot of the day though targeting springers but didnt tie into any. The bankies seemed to be whackin the steelhead pretty good too.
