Bet it was the first legal turkey of the year :tup:

Shot my first Tom 8 1/2" beard opening night, I was actually walking out and he was feeding on trail, soon as head popped up i shot, finished year filling my late season turkey tag on another jake......

I'm planning to be back for the opener for the first two weekends. I'm anticipating on having a good group of hunters at the cabin...should be a whole lot of fun (hopefully not to much  :chuckle:  :chuckle:)...I'll send you a PM when I know for sure.

I took my father in law hunting this past May he got his first bird.  I set up the decoy and called.  He passed away 2 months later in August so it was also the last time I got to hunt with him.
