Oregon to shoot rock chucks! I will fish during the week at Sun Lakes.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I plan on hitting a local lake at midnight so I can fish, then taking my girls to Borst for the juvenile fishing event.

I might take my 3 year old to a kids fishing Derby on Saturday if I don't get stuck at work.

yeah year round lakes rock but some people have been fishing the same lakes on the opener for a long time.   Kinda like tradition now.

And with 20 million dumb trout stocked they might actually catch one  :chuckle:

Trout opener! I'm going fishing as far away from any low land lake as I can go  :P

I personally will fish any time, but my kids enjoy all the "hoopla" of opening day, reminds me of when I was a kid. they don't care about fishing as much as the event.
But then they have been bugging me to take them fishing for quite a while now....
