Just picked a system up today with Elite 5 DSI GOLD, Down Scan Sonar and Gold Navionics chartplotter, can't wait to finish hooking it Sat and run out to the lake for a testing session.  Spent alot of time researching what would work for me best, since I primarily fish for Sturgeon the down scan will suit me best.  Let you know how it works here real soon...

Quick run on the Lake today, reads real well, detail is super with logs and stumps easily identified pretty quickly.  And a few suspended fish here and there around the structure...  Alot of the super shallow areas - under 5 foot it had a hard time making sense of anything, but I never fish that shallow anyhow.  8-50 foot it was excellent - 50 is the deepest part of the lake.  Could tell anchors for buoys pretty easily and maybe a couple of the ropes/chains??   Got to learn it better, but I like what I see so far.  Can't wait to hit the Columbia on my favorite holes to see what the bottom is actually like...  Sturgeon look out!!!!
