Which deer is your favorite to eat ??

Being a Pennsylvania boy I always thought whitetail where the best eating but I must tell ya I love blacktail ...not the ones shot in the rut but early bow season they are the best .....The taste of that meat makes my mouth water and as a matter of fact I think I tose a nice long backstrap on the BQ TONIGHT .. and all I do is rub olive oil all over it season it with garlic - italian seasoning - pepper and BQ IT AND I MEAN SON IT WILL TEAR YOUR FACE OFF .... HAHAHAHAHAHA  YEAH I am always extreme !! Sorry about that !!!!!!

I like those whitetail that live in the crop fields their whole life. Taste good.

I have had whitetail from SE and NE Washington.  Mulies from the sand dunes, waterville and the Glacier Peak Wilderness.   But, IMO nothing is better then a SW Washington Blacktail...Very mild and succulent.

I have always been fortunate to have one shot kills on relaxed animals.  No endorphins pumping in there bodies.  With the Blacktail they are Gutted and hung within 1/2 hour.  I let cool down overnight and cut and wrap the next day...
