Man I really hate snakes!

Great pics Bone. Just think in another month or two they will be laying in the middle of the road and you won't have to search for them under those rocks.  :chuckle: Can't wait to get out after them, I have a fishing pole that needs wrapped and i think one of them will do the trick nicely.

Another reason to live on the Westside.  :chuckle:  Definitely another reason not to live on the East Coast. There are so many nasty crawly creepy things out there, lots of snakes, chiggers, ticks, etc.

I never realized how toxic their venom really was until last week. Saw a show where a girl was bitten by a Pacific rattler and her entire body was bleeding externally, it didn't look good for her. I always thought it was like a severe bee sting to adults.

Did you shoot it or leave it alone.  I have a hard time passing them up.

I seen about 500 of them and only killed one.   He was a decent sized one that was a bit aggressive and wouldn't back down. For the most part the big ones weren't out yet.  LOTS of babies.  I was amazed at how hot they were with as cold as it was.

I quit killing them unless they are around my house or the circumstance dictates it.  I hate rodents more than snakes.  Plus if I kill them, then I can't photo them.

D-man, thats called DIC.  Disseminated Intravascular Coagulopathy or something like that.  A very common effect from Rattlenake bite and what usually kills the person.  Essentially your coag system breaks down and you start bleeding all over your body.  Its what rat poision does to rats.
