A little greenling.  Wish I could fiure out how to target them, they are tasty, and open most of the year.

wow good crowd

rippen tide, tangled pots, lost gear still  SO MUCH FUN
 And MMMmmmm  good
yeah no kidding.... at least we got our shrimp but holy cow that tide was rippin. There is a TON of lost pots out there after saturday including two of mine  :(

Gotta weight them down. We have 4 pieces of rebar along the outside edges and a 4 lb chunck of lead in the center. kind of a pain to empty when they are that heavy, but we don't lose them. Also love the leaded line. 400' on each pot.
Thats almost exactly how we had ours set up and they still disappeared... i cant even begin to say how many bouys i saw that were pulled a few feet under when looking for mine

We have never had any issues with the shrimp pots, it's the crab pots that we seem to loose all the time. They have shorter ropes and we tend to leave them out longer. Hate loosing anything out there all the equipement is gettig expensive.

I found and returned four crab pots to owners last year and six or so the year before.  Got a lot of thank yous, a bottle of wine, and got to keep two.  One came all the way from Vancouver, BC.

Going out tomorrow, supposed to be rainy, hope the wind stays down.  Good luck to anyone else playing hooky and getting out on the water.   8)
