Headin to Spokane..
« on: May 09, 2011, 09:32:10 AM »
I'm heading over to Spokane today for a test. I am going to have alot of downtime, and want to try and get a fish in. Being from the west side, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of good spots to shore fish near the Spokane area. Thanks.
They're gonna be where you find 'em

Don't go to the spokane river. It is ripping right now.
Maybe try West Medical, Fishtrap, Fish or Silver for Trout fishing fairly close to town.
If you have a gazateer these should be easy to find.

Silver Lake (not a good bet for trout but, has Tiger Musky, bass and panfish) and Clear Lake have docks.

West Medical Lake has shoreline (by the launch and by the Veteran's Cemetary).

Medical Lake (selective gear... single barbless hook, no bait/scent, etc... reference the regs) is a good bet, if you fly fish... has rainbow, brown and tiger trout.

Silver, West Medical and Medical are all within 10 minutes (or less) of each other.  Clear Lake is about 15-20 minutes away.

Good fishin'!

Fished all of those mentioned. We've always done really well at Fish and lots of shoreline access.
