Montana antelope

Has anyone done a deer and antelope combo hunt in Montana before? We drew deer tags and I have a couple points for antelope so could draw that tag also but don't want to drive over twice with fuel prices and a combo would be fun. Downside is later in Nov. the better for deer but the antelope shed their horns so that would make me go earlier to do the combo I believe. Maybe going earlier for deer wouldnt be a deal breaker though because last time we drew Montana and went the second week of Nov we never really got into big bucks either. I am hoping the antelope hunt will just be a day or two get one and get to deer hunting deal and wouldnt even have to be the same area. Not sure any suggestions. nwhunter

I think the Breaks or southeast Mt would be a good place to look at doing a combo deer and antelope hunt. However u may want to call and talk to some bios in the area as both place have had some winter kill. I think it probably has effected the antelope more than deer. And I would expect to see some tag cuts for antelope.

Yes, the top half especially was hammered this winter. Couple ALOT of dead antelope with a late spring and poor horn growth.......make the suggested calls but remember, they want to sell tags. $$$$$
