first elk last year
« on: May 15, 2011, 05:39:31 PM »
Finally connected been hunting elk to long!Didnt eat my margaret cow tag, Thank god!  Missed one opening morning which bummed me out cause i had my son with me I wanted him to see dad gun something. :bash: We didnt get a chance for a shot on sunday and had to go home. Luckely I decided to go back the last day and sure enough ran into em in the same spot and connected this time. The load was a 300 grain hornandy sst with two 50 grain pellets went in one side and out the other! It was about a fifty or sixty yard shot . She was a smaller cow but very tasty!

Congrats nice looking cow.Gotta love muzzleloading
It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need one and not have it.                                                                             Local 66 sheetmetal workers
