Methow Valley Turkeys
« on: May 18, 2011, 07:29:44 PM »
Guys and Gals,

I'm heading up towards Winthrop in the morning to try and fill a turkey tag.  I'm thinking about starting up around Bear Creek and the Methow Wildlife area.  I sure would appreciate any help on exactly where to start?  Also, anyone been in that area lately?  Are the birds active?  I'm thinking with this warm weather the toms should be out looking for the last few hens that haven't been bred.

Thanks in advance!!!

I've also seen some near the early winter campground. we went last year to try to fill a tag, didn't have any luck. we didn't even see or hear any birds. then on are way home we see a turkey millin around. across the street from the marshalls house.  :bash:hahaha what luck.
always on the go

Have seen some near the summit of Loup Loup (the last 3 times I've gone over the Loup) on at least a weekly basis  Both sides of the summit 211 mile marker on this side and around the 225 on the other side
