I've taken a day off here and there but haven't had any extended time off since last October. I've got 6 1/2 weeks on the books right now (built up and rolled over from last year), but we're short handed at work with too many projects on my plate with deadlines. Boss came to me the other day and said I need to take some time off. Duh! Said I get to set the schedule for me taking some time off and control the project timelines through summer. I'll have generated another week of vacation by late summer. I haven't been affected by forced furloughs yet. (I really don't know why) So, I guess it's time to have a little 'me' time soon. (but I bet much of any time I take will be time spent on the 'honey do' list).
