Close encounter
« on: May 20, 2011, 10:34:33 PM »
Walked up through some thick timber above a noisey creek and looked down through the brush and saw what I thought was a deer laying down. Set down the backpack and got out the camera and looked back down the hill only to see a cougar stairing back at me.. 50yrds. w/ the 18-55mm lense and little time to focus up. But you get the idea.. CLOSE.
Work sucks!!!! I should be shed hunting

I was about say he same thing. Cool picture for sure. A lot of hunters go their entire hunting career without seeing a cougar!

Wow it took me a while but I finally see it. I've seen four but it's been 20 years. Want to call one in real bad.

I have never seen one either, and hope I never do unless it's through bino's at 300 yrds or more.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

I walked up on one laying down by a noisy creek. It was about the same scenario! I thought it was a deer till I glassed and saw the tail then I got real nervous when it's head shot straight up in a dead locked glare with me about thirty yards away
