Well as everyone should no the yelp and I were in a comation for the biggest bird this year. The loser would have to do a fan mount for the winner. Here is my weight and lengths

I scored them...


Yelp's Merriam (measurements witnessed)  I didn't take pics.
21. 4
9.25" beard
Spurs were 3/4" not 1" like I thought!  :'(

My score 21.4  + .75(2)(10) + 9.25(2) = 54.9


Turkey Slayers Merriam

19.4 lbs
9.10 " beard
1" spurs (not sure on tape placement in photo)  looks like actually 6/8" inch to me.  :chuckle:

19.4 + 1(2)(10) + 9.10 (2) = 57.6

Holy crap! I need to start measuring my spurs like that! They'd all be a 1/4 inch longer :chuckle:

If ya have a problem in how I measure we can do it all over. I have always been told to measure from were they start. Yelp maybe text years compation on the smallest turkey you can do a mount for me
