Bears are back. 1 bear or 2?
« on: May 26, 2011, 11:51:04 AM »
The bears finally showed up. Trying to decide if its one bear or two. The first one looks like it has a longer head and the second picture looks like a fatter head. what do you think? Any size guesses. I don't know why the picture turned out purple.

check out the time stamp of #2 and me checking the camera today. Good thing i showed up late. I had a small pocket knife so I would have been ok.

Did not want their picture taken. Lots of deer pictures to.

Cool. What kind of blocks do you have and do they hold up well in the rain? I'm saying two differnet bears. That first one sure does have a long face, maybe young?

Second one looks to be a good 50+ lbs bigger to me, tough to say though seeing as they're standing in different places.  :dunno:

One is a mineral block and one is a Selenium Salt Block. not sure if they actually care about the blocks. They mostly walk by and smell them. The raccoons like to stand on them.

I would guess two bears.  From the perspective on the log laying in the background, there is a few inches of height difference even with the adjusted angle of the animals to the camera.  Young ones though, I would give them another year or two.
Nice pics though. :chuckle:
