River bucks
« on: June 24, 2007, 11:14:39 PM »
I found these two guys next to one of my duck holes. I have seen sign of deer, but I have never actually seen one there yet...till today. The great thing is, the area has a high powered firearm restriction....only bows and shotguns, and I have NEVER seen a deer hunter in there.....it's gonna be a good year...lol

The bigger of the two

The smaller guy....but I kinda like him better...his head gear is really, really even and symmetrical...... really symmetrical LOL

And them together

They still got lots of good growing to do.  Excellent pics!  That looks like skeeter swatting country.

Almsot anyone who has been through E-burg has drove right past these guys...lol. And yes....the skeeters are hell there on a September evening. I hope they get a few more inches on them. I really like the smaller of the two. He is really even and symmetrical. He would look good one the wall. They are not the biggest or best bucks around, but they are pretty decent for being smack dab in the middle of a valley next to a ton of roads and people. I might be moving to the damn wetside soon, so my hunting will be restricted to weekends only...LAME! I was planning on hunting these guys in the evening because I live minutes away......oh well.

If a firearm resticted area with a firearm tag you can use a muzzloader with a scope. Any one know ?

I believe you can. I think you can use a scope on a ML when it is used during rifle season. I probably wouldn't want to use a ML in this area any ways, too close to houses. A bow will be your safest and best bet. A shotgun with 00 buck would do well to.
