Entiat still the tag to draw?
« on: May 31, 2011, 02:40:32 AM »
Just wondering if the entiat is as good as people say it is. I haven't seen or heard of any real big bucks come out of there in a few years. I've put in for it 10 years now and I was hoping this will be the year but on the other hand a little worried. you see I'm the only person in are hunting group that puts in for any special tags and we have a good group of guys and we always have a great time and harvest some nice mulie bucks  (140-150). I looking for something 170 or bigger,  everyone I talk to tells me the Entiat is the place to go, you see them alot but getting on them is the trick. I have no problem hunting hard just want to know if it's true about the entiat.  IF YOU GOT THEM POST THEM PLEASE!

Just search for Entiat or special permits and your should find some. There are a few threads already out there reguarding this.

Not what it once was but still a darn good hunt.

It's gone way down hill. I would put in for the desert unit if you want a big buck.

I agree the desert has some great bucks I spend alot of time out there. I guess part of the hunt is the camping and getting away from home.  The desert unit is out my back door and when the north hunt doesn't produce we come home and hunt just south of the desert. Thanks for the info.

You will see alot more small bucks. The Poachers hit it hard, and OTHERS. :bash: :bash: I hunted there in 06 and there where 2 really nice bucks that we saw, the rest where average. There are a couple out of the way spots that i know but didnt make it to, so could have been more :dunno: Still one of my favorite hunts and time of year.  GOOD LUCK
