You'll probably have to learn how to put up the hides. Not many opputunities to sell them in the round. You'll need to learn how to skin them ( the right cuts to make), how to flesh them  and how to stretch.
You'll need a fleshing beam, fleshing knife and a stretching board. There are probably some videos out on the process but I'd say watching someone do it is better. I don't see a location but if I knew where you were maybe I could set you up to watch someone take care of a coon at some point.
Selling them, there are a couple international auctions with receiving agents in the state, a handful of furbuyers or some places you could ship out of state.
One last thing, you can't let the dogs chew on them and they aren't worth much before the middle of Nov. or after Feb.

We have been doing that for years but with the way the prices are its worth more if you have them tanned then sell them that way. Or sell them frozen whole to the trader not worth the money to skin flesh and traper dry.

No one anywhere near Bellingham that I know of. You probably won't see more then 5 bucks frozen whole and I've heard Bears Den buys some that way but that's near Olympia. Other buyers is in Pateros so Doesn't really sound feasable to do it that way.
How long will they keep? Depends on the weather and where they are shot. Warm winter weather and gut shot maybe 36 hours. head shot and cool 4 maybe 5 days.
The thing is they are really easy to skin especially if you get to them when warm. Shouldn't take more then 5 or 10 minutes. After they cool out twice as hard. After they are skinned they will keep a lot better. I'm going to say twice as long plus they can be put in a cooler.
You'll save yourself work if you skin them soon.
Out in the woods you'll need a rope, a knife and a tail stripper. I use an old pair of electrical wire strippers.
