Where to try bows?
« on: June 07, 2011, 10:05:18 PM »
Hi All!
Though I've only been hunting a short time, I'm already tired of feeling like I'm at a Bronco's game when I'm surrounded by orange during rifle season.  I haven't shot a bow since boy scout camp 15-20 years ago so I'd like to experiment a bit before I make the plunge.  Any suggestions on where I can go in the Seattle area to try out a couple bows before I make a purchase?  Any pointers would be fantastic!
Thanks!

If you REALLY want to get it done right, go up to MountLake Terrace and go to talk to Bill at Nock Point.

Bill will get you all set up and give you a great start as to proper form, etc.

:yeah:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

To try out Bowtech, Elite, Diamond, Strothers, and Maitland go see Roger at Wilderness Archery in Bow, Wa... you can try them out in the indoor range... and he will get you all set up right.
