I have been going to the range once a week, Im shooting a 300 win mag and have a six shot group that is the size of a fist, factory 180 grain federals. will be reloading my own soon though

saw one bear today but it was while I was driving and it was off into the brush before I could blink. Saw five elk two were bills in velvet, one 4x4 and a 3x3, I stalked them till I was within 100 yards but I'm pretty sure they winded me. Going to figure out wher to go for the evening hunt.

Ended up being tag soup for me it was tough due to the fact that I could not find a area with bear sighn, out of the six total days I hunted that area I only saw three piles of bear scat
