One of my hunting partners shoots one and loves it. I thought it seemed to be well made and he got it for a great price.

i just noticed the tag on the gun says to use no 11 magnum caps but i cant get them to fit? is there any chance that it did come with the musket nipple already. i am not sure this is my first muzzleloader.

It may be the 209 nipple.  A lot of new muzzle loaders come set up for the 209's now.  Easy to switch them out and only about 5 bucks for a different one.  If you're not sure which one it is take it off and take it with you when you go buy caps.  But if you already have #11 caps your better off to buy a new nipple if they won't fit it.  At least that way you dont have to waste the caps that you already have.   :twocents:

i just checked the box and on the end of it, it says it is a musket cap. i guess i should have looked a little closer. but i will still take it in with me when i get caps.

I have the same gun, the nipple is made for musket caps (which are a bit hotter than #11s)
