Been using the smoke pole for a few years now.  Absolutely love it!

I've been using muzzy for both deer and elk almost exclusively since the mid '90s. Last year I picked up a modern deer tag.   All that did was to reaffirm my utter disgust of that season. I will not make that mistake again. Not only that but I try not to even enter the woods while the modern guys are out. I will stick with muzzy and occasionally throw in an archery hunt just to mix things up a bit.
Couldn't agree with you more Fair Chase, I did the same thing last year.  Only with both deer and elk :bdid:  NEVER AGAIN!

Started out with the muzzleloader.  When the state closed my GMUs to muzzy elk and shortened the season I switched to moderen.  Now I do both, reluctantly...muzzy for deer and modern for elk.

I have a T/C Grey Hawk .54 I bought 20 years ago. Killed 1 deer. Tried elk hunting up in the Selkirks 6 years ago and that was it. I'm thinkin' this year might be a good choice.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Seriously??? I think the late archery season is the worst.  I've never seen so many road hunters.  And they say its more of a challenge.....
