Squaw Rock Resort & RV Park is a good area to start off from. The forest service roads in that area are good places to look for elk. Especialy during bow season, im notsure about any other time of year.

I drew that one as well.  Plan to take my girls on lots of weekend backpack "fishing" trips this summer to learn the area better!  Good Luck with your tag!

Depends on teh type of hunting you do  :dunno:

Wilderness hunt, Day hike in and out. pack in for a few days. Drive to an area and hunt it then back to camp (like most poeple). Road hunt, etc.....

Lots of good area up there, but if I had that tag ( I drew Obserbatory) I would be in talks with Norsepeak and utilising his guide service. i know he has some dandy bulls scouted out and inparticular that I have extreme interest in, but I did not draw that tag  ;)  You should see the dandy bull he killed last year with that tag

Pick your poison, lots of options as has been noted, elk in every part of the unit, I'd pick a couple of areas and learn them, hard to go wrong with that tag.

 I drew it too! Looks like I'm going solo. Still trying to decide to pack in up high or  car camp it.  I do know where I'll be spending many a weekend this summer though. And now I've got to decide whether I go with the longbow or wheels. It's all good though, I'm not whining!
